Gosh, I'm already looking forward to the coming Chinese New Year holidays!
Seeing that I do not have much time to write a lengthy post today, I am just going to share with you my piano rendition of Jay Chou's song "Cǎi Hóng" (Rainbow)
In case you have not heard of this song before, watch this music video.
This song was from his 2007 album Wǒ Hěn Máng (On The Run).
And here's my piano performance of this song. As usual, please excuse some slips and errors in my playing. Hope you like it! : )
I am also looking fwd to yet another hols...:)
very nice rendition! Next time make a video ok?!!! Show face a bit la...
Very nice leh... can share the piano score? :)
That's my fav song of Jay Chou!! Wow, you're good in playing piano. Thanks for sharing. It makes me relax after a hard day work. ^_^
New Year o! For a moment I though Jay Chou was playing. Haha =) Anyway nice play Foongpc. Yupe, it's new year already. And I'm in my new job. Today was my 1st day. SO far so good but still a very, very long way to go! =)
my bug life, yeah, I still miss my Christmas holidays! Really, really looking forward to CNY hols! : )
eiling, thanks! haha, want me to show face? I'm Charlie of Charlie's Angels, you know, cannot show my face, maybe show my hands only. LOL!
ju-lian, can, but unfortunately, I played everything by ear, so didn't write any notes down : )
victor, cai hong is your favourite Jay Chou's song? Cool! I actually like some of his other songs better, but this one is ok. Glad my playing makes you relax : )
tekkaus, today is your first day at your new job? You must tell me what is your new job lah! Thanks for mistaking my playing with Jay Chou's. I'll take that as a compliment although I think he's more famous for his song writing skills : )
love this song and your version! *jeles of your talent*
I love most of Jay Chou's music as they have really good lyrics in it..
waaaa
u play piano!
awesomeness!
Jay Chau? Ummm...I think I'll pass! Hahahahahaha!!! And Mariah Curry too! See my post tomorrow! Got a nice song and I love this version by the composer herself, the piano accompaniment shines way above all the other yucky versions of the song.
hehe yeah CNY is just around the corner. get ready with my ang pao ok? :P
any early preparation?
xin, thanks! Glad you like it : )
lisa, I love his songs but don't understand the lyrics - had to get friends to translate the lyrics for me into English! : ) I really admire him not for his singing, but for his songwriting skills. I love the way he blends the eastern and western music.
medie007, thanks! Hope you like my rendition of the song : )
suituapui, you don't seem to like Jay Chou and Mariah Carey songs very much, do you? I am a big fan of both! : )
faisal, you coming over to KL is it? Then I can give you angpow... wait, actually I can't cos I'm not married yet! Haha! Unless you visit my parents : )
Very nice Foong! I'm looking forward to a video next. LOL You are very good at playing the piano, I envy you. Drats,I should've went to my piano lessons rather than going straight home and play with my friends. LOL
wow...the piano piece is very good.
Should totally do a video of you playing and upload it to youtube. (but beware of those nasty racist and retard comments)
babette, thanks! Maybe you should have gone for your piano lessons. Haha! Me on video? Actually, I don't have a videocam yet. If I get one, then I will record a video and put it on my blog. Anyway, I will still not reveal my whole face, haha! I prefer to have an element of mystery : )
3point8, thanks! I may just do that when I get myself a videocam : )
Wow... speechless! :)
Oh, Jay Chou. I remember I saw his vid clip on tv and liked it. It was shot somewhere like in a war zone. The vid was quite dark and there were kids from somewhere in Bosnia (just a guess).
I don't remember the name of the song though. It was like 2 years ago
He's a good pianist too, I agree!
i'm so looking forward to a gr8 break.
sorry dude, i'm not a fan of jay chou.
I am a big fan of Jay Chou.
Love the song "wo bu pei".
btw, thanks for visiting my blog...
you did Not play that by ear again! it is indeed a great song.
I am not a fan of jay Chou.Because I can't hear what he sing clearly.
But I love the pure music you play!
neo, thanks, haha!
rad, you know him too? I was not a big fan of him until recently. Although I did like some of the songs from his previous album. He's good at combining Western and Eastern elements into his music, which I find most unique. And yes, he's a pretty good pianist : )
life ramblings, can't wait for CNY holidays! : )
josephine, you are welcome. Oh, you are big fan of Jay Chou too? Cool! "Wo bu pei" is a nice song. He wrote many beautiful songs for himself as well as for other singers. Very talented indeed!
levian, thanks. Yes, it is : )
iWalk, thanks! Yes, many people did not like that he does not pronounce the words clearly in his singing. But for someone not good in Mandarin like me, that's a small matter. I just enjoy his music - he may not be a good singer, but as a songwriter, he's fantastic!
Foong! you're good at playing piano! ;-)
it is great. i love yr rendition ogf the song
Hi Foong, I know u are not a big fan of tags, but just in case mah! So I have a tag for you at Wishing on a Falling Star, have a great day! :)
